Abdullah Bakhraibah has been appointed as the CEO of The Arab Investment Company (TAIC) in August 2024. Abdullah is poised to lead the company in building and developing its business and achieving its new strategic objectives.
Abdullah brings over 16 years of experience to the role, gained through working with international and local financial institutions. His most recent position was as CEO and Board Member of State Street Saudi Arabia Financial Solutions, a CMA licensed subsidiary of State Street Corporation, one of the world’s largest global financial institutions. During his tenure, he spearheaded the opening of their office in the Kingdom, expanded their business presence significantly, launched local portfolio management, endorsed local partnerships, and hosted the State Street Corporation Board of Directors meeting in Riyadh in April 2024.
Prior to that, he served as Head of Business and Products Development at Ashmore Investment Saudi Arabia from 2019 to mid-2020 where he chaired the board of Ashmore’s investment funds and Tazah Limited Company.
From 2015 to 2018, he was Head of Sales in Saudi Arabia for Gulf International Bank (UK) and GIB Capital where he led the business development, and represented GIB Capital’s Debt Capital Market team in the issuance of $ 12.5 billion Bonds with the National Debt Management Center at the Saudi Ministry of Finance.
Abdullah's career journey also includes various roles at SAB, including structured derivatives and treasury risk advisory from 2008 to 2015. He began his professional career at SAB as a Money Markets and Investment Dealer in the Treasury Department in 2008.
Abdullah was elected as a member for the Capital Market Authority’s Capital Market Institutions Committee back in 2020 for 2 years.
Abdullah holds an MBA from London Business School and a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals.

Mr. Fahad A. Al-Haqbani

Fahad Al-Haqbani has been serving as Senior Advisor to the CEO at the Arab Investment Company (TAIC) since April 2025. Prior to this role, he held the position of General Manager of Finance and Administration Affairs from 2014 to 2025. During his tenure as General Manager, he oversaw the Finance Department, Human Resources and Administration Affairs Department, and the Information Technology Department at TAIC.
Previously, Al-Haqbani served as the Director of Human Resources and Administration Affairs at TAIC, and earlier, as Senior Manager of the Services Projects Department for seven years since joining TAIC in mid-2001.
Currently, Al-Haqbani also holds positions as a Board Member and a member of the Executive, Nominations, and Remunerations Committee at Taajeer Finance Company in the Sultanate of Oman, a listed joint-stock company specializing in financial leasing. He is also a Board Member and a member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee at the Arab Jordan Investment Bank (AJIB) – Jordan, and a Board Member at Jordan Arab Investment Bank - Qatar LLC.
Before joining TAIC, Al-Haqbani worked for 8 years in the Projects Management Department at the Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF), where he gained extensive experience in investment, finance, and industry.
He holds a Master's degree in International Marketing from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK, and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from King Saud University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Dakheel A. Al Zahrani is the Chief Investment Officer at TAIC and responsible for developing investment strategy and policies, leading and managing the investment team, supervise and oversee the investment process, establish processes to ensure investment policies are followed, and make decisions on asset allocation, selection of external managers, and risk management across portfolios.
With over 25 years of experience in investment management, business development, and strategic planning, Mr. Al Zahrani has developed extensive expertise in direct investments, company valuation, restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, financial advisory, corporate financing, risk management, and project management.
Mr. Al Zahrani joined TAIC in 2013 and brings wealth of expertise to his current role having previously held several managerial positions at the Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF), Al Faisaliah Group (AFG), and the National Industrial Development Center.
He has served as Board Member on several companies in the past. Currently he holds Board and Committee memberships at the Egyptian Company for Propylene and Polypropylene Production in Egypt, Bidaya Finance in Saudi Arabia, Kenana Sugar Company, and the Arab Leasing Company in Sudan.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia, and a master’s degree in international marketing from the University of Strathclyde, United Kingdom. Mr. Al Zahrani has also completed numerous specialized courses at prestigious institutions, including INSEAD, Euromoney, and the Saudi Banking Institute in Riyadh.

Mr. Mahmood Salman
Mahmood Salman is holding the role of Acting General Manager of The Arab Investment Company, Bahrain Branch, in addition to his responsibility as Head of Finance & Administration. Mahmood joined TAIC in October 2016. In his current role, Mahmood is responsible for directing and managing all branch functions, developing strategies and business plans, and ensuring that all departments meet their annual financial and operational objectives, in addition to managing all operations related to financial and human resources of the Branch.
Mahmood brings to the role over 20 years of professional experience in the fields of banking, finance, audit and human resources. Prior to joining TAIC, Mahmood served as Head of Finance for The Family Office Company- Bahrain, an investment management firm. Mahmood has held a number of additional roles at different high-profile institutions including the wholesale banking unit of Arab Bank plc. - Bahrain in financial control department and PricewaterhouseCoopers M.E, Bahrain office, where Mahmood was part of the assurance and advisory function.
Mahmood is a member in the Management Investment Committee, TAIC-level Credit Committee, and the bank’s Credit Committee, in addition to his membership in various special task force committees established to manage different banking projects and activities.
Mahmood is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Certified Management Accountant (CMA) from Institute of Management Accountant, USA. He also holds a BSc in Accounting from the University of Bahrain, in addition to a specialised Diploma in International Financial Reporting Standards.

Sultan Al Ansari currently serves as the Chief Shared Services Officer. In this role, he oversees the Human Resources, Administration, Procurement, and Information Technology departments, leading the integration and development of these vital functions in alignment with the company’s strategic and operational goals.
With over 15 years of experience in Human Capital Management, Mr. Al Ansari has held leadership positions in several prominent organizations, including within the petrochemical sector. His expertise spans across HR strategy, talent management, compensation and benefits, and process improvement. He has played a pivotal role in enhancing workforce performance and driving operational excellence. He also brings deep knowledge of employee safety initiatives and the implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Throughout his career, Mr. Al Ansari has led numerous strategic projects, including the establishment of HR departments, the digital transformation of HR operations, and change management initiatives—all contributing to improved efficiency and institutional transformation.

Hashim Al-Tamimi serves as the Head of Strategy and Planning, where he is responsible for overseeing all aspects of strategic development and execution, including shaping the company’s vision and mission, and monitoring organizational performance to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
With over 25 years of experience in banking, financial services, and investment management, Mr. Al-Tamimi has held senior leadership roles in several prominent banks, financial institutions, and fintech companies. His expertise spans strategy, planning, innovation, and business transformation, including successfully leading and scaling fintech startups.
Mr. Al-Tamimi brings deep knowledge in consumer finance, microfinance, and project management, combined with a dynamic mindset focused on sustainable growth and driving institutional excellence.

Khalid S Alzughaibi
Khalid Al-Zughaibi serves as the Advisor to the CEO for Board and Shareholder Affairs. In this role, he oversees matters related to the Board of Directors and shareholders, ensuring effective governance and alignment with corporate objectives.
Mr. Al-Zughaibi brings over 20 years of legal and advisory experience. He holds a Master’s degree in Commercial Law from the University of Strathclyde in the United Kingdom, along with distinguished academic qualifications in both Sharia and Law. Throughout his career, he has held senior legal advisory positions in both government and private sector entities, including the Ministry of Finance and the Arab Investment Company.
He has served on the boards of several regional companies in Jordan, Egypt, and Abu Dhabi. Mr. Al-Zughaibi possesses extensive expertise in litigation, contract drafting, and financial investigations, supported by specialized training in legal and financial fields.
